Theophilus³ Doty, a child of Joseph² Doty, was born 22 February 1674 in Sandwich, MA, and died 18 January 1746.  He married Ruth Mendall about 1696.  She died two weeks after her husband.  They had 2 sons and 6 daughters.  The first 7 were born in Rochester, MA.
